When you are granted an Australian permanent residency visa, most people believe that this means they no longer need to deal with Australia’s immigration system. This is not the case, and if you have held an Australian permanent residence visa for a number of years now, then you may be required to apply for a Resident Return Visa to renew your ‘travel facility’ if you wish to continue to travel out of Australia.
Be warned, if you depart Australia without a Resident Return Visa, you may be prevented from returning to Australia, or in the worst case, potentially lose your right to permanent residency and find yourself starting your migration journey all over again.
The team at JK Lawyers is ready to take the hassle and stress from you by clearly explaining the requirements and timelines to you, and can manage the entire application process for you so that you can concentrate on the more important things in life. We have looked after many clients from all parts of the globe to obtain their Resident Return Visas, including complex cases where clients have previously allowed their permanent residency visa to lapse for more than 10 years.
